Welcome! I am an applied linguist with primary areas of expertise in second language acquisition and quantitative research methodology. Much of my research is centered around the advancement of quantitative methodologies for examining individual differences in second language acquisition with an emphasis on study and scale quality. Additionally, I am committed to research ethics and open science practices both in my own research and in my mentoring of students. I am an Assistant Professor of Second Language Acquisition at the University of Maryland, College Park. I hold a Ph.D. (with distinction) in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University and an M.A. in TESOL from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
